SACRAMENTO, CA — Today, Assemblyman Jeff Gonzalez (R-Indio), a 21-year Marine Corps combat veteran and Vice Chair of the Assembly Committee on Military and Veterans Affairs, issued the following statement on a resolution, ACR 89, recognizing May as Military Appreciation Month, which passed the Assembly Floor with broad bipartisan support:
“For me, this isn’t symbolic — it’s personal. As a proud Marine who wore the uniform for over two decades, I know firsthand the sacrifice, dedication, and courage it takes to serve this country,” said Assemblyman Gonzalez. “Military Appreciation Month is a time to honor the brave men and women who protect our freedoms, both past and present, and to recognize the families who serve alongside them.”
